Show Synopsis

The Great Escape is a new action adventure competition that puts ordinary people in extraordinary movie-like situations—the challenge is to escape using only everyday skills, team work, and what they can find around them. Each week teams will be dropped into a different epic situation: lost in the desert, trapped in the mountains, marooned on an island, or locked in a prison. The first team to find their way out of multiple stages of twists and turns to ultimately escape wins a cash prize.

The series is produced by The Hochberg-Ebersol Company, Amazing Race’s Bertram Van Munster, Fox TV Studios & Ron Howard, and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Television.
